My name is Ido Vlaardingerbroek and I work as a consultant at PNO Chemistry. I help clients in the chemical industry with their innovative and sustainable projects.
I have a background in molecular biology, with a PhD and post-doc experience researching the interactions between plants and pathogens. Having a background in the natural sciences really helps understand the technologies and communicate with researchers. After several years of supporting clients in the chemical industry I can say it is currently a very exciting field, and I believe the industry will be a key enabler for both the energy and the materials transition.
I really enjoy working for a variety of clients, each with their unique technology, challenges and solutions. From start-ups with exciting new technology that could become the future industry standard to large MNE optimizing their processes, the projects we support can achieve positive impact for both our clients and society.
When I am not working I really enjoy mountain biking and riding road bikes, as well as cooking.
