My name is Anne Bakker and I work as a consultant at PNO Chemistry from the PNO office in Groningen. This means that within PNO Chemistry I am the contact point for the North of the Netherlands. What I enjoy most in my work is the large variety of projects and clients we encounter. I assist both SME’s and multinationals with the identification and realization of regional, Dutch and European funding opportunities. This can include for example grants for innovative research projects, but also incentives for investments or subsidies to support the industry in their energy transition.
I have a scientific background in the natural sciences. After my MSc in chemistry I moved to Germany for a PhD in nanoscience/physics. My experience as an (international) researcher helps me now to understand quickly where our clients are working on and to communicate this clearly in grants applications. I am still excited to learn about new innovations and scientific developments. However, as a consultant I can learn about a wider range of topics and support projects that directly impact society or the environment.
In my free time I like to explore all kinds of handicrafts, try to learn how to control the garden and play board games with friends and family.
