Over 30% reduction in ammonia emissions
In a decisive step towards a cleaner and more resilient industrial sector, the Dutch government has awarded 54 million euros in funding to support large-scale ammonia emission reduction projects at Fibrant, OCI and Rockwool. These leading industrial companies will invest in advanced technological solutions, including scrubbers, to drastically reduce ammonia emissions from their operations. The anticipated environmental impact is substantial: a more than 30% reduction in ammonia emissions across the board, equivalent to 216,000 kilograms less nitrogen emissions every year.
This milestone demonstrates how targeted public funding can unlock impactful change in hard-to-abate sectors. It also underlines the crucial role of strategic advisory and funding expertise in translating complex industrial challenges into robust, investment-ready proposals that meet environmental, financial and technical objectives.
Connecting industry challenges with funding instruments
PNO Chemistry is proud to have contributed to this success. Leveraging our in-depth understanding of industrial innovation, environmental impact assessment, and the public funding landscape, we translate visionary project ambitions into strong, well-structured proposals that meet the strategic, sustainability and financial criteria required for a successful application. Our role is to navigate the complexity, connecting industry challenges with national and European funding instruments that support a greener future.
Bridging the gap between government ambitions and industry actions
Thus, this achievement reflects more than a funding success. It demonstrates the power of public-private collaboration and the important role that PNO Chemistry plays in bridging the gap between government ambitions and industry actions, especially with new funding programmes.
