Objectives
The Eurostars programme aims to promote market-oriented research and development (R&D) activities through the active involvement of R&D-performing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking to leverage the benefits of international collaboration.
Details
Eurostars funding is targeted at SMEs that collaborate with at least one partner from a Eurostars country, such as a supplier, production partner, potential customer, another company in the innovation chain or a research institution. Typically, Eurostars projects involve three to four cooperation partners from two to three different Eurostars countries.
The cooperation should involve high-tech R&D work for an innovation project aimed at developing a new product, process or service, with no restrictions on themes or mandatory technology fields, but with a civilian purpose. The project should lead to the market launch of the innovation within two years.
The maximum grant amount per project is 500,000 euros.
